School nurses will be asking about your mental health at every contact. If you are struggling with your mental health then your school nurse can offer you additional support in school or refer you to the High impact area lead in children/young people’s mental health who specialises in children with emotional wellbeing challenges.

During these meetings it is an opportunity for you to express how you are feeling without judgement and help you to make sense of what you are going through at that time.

If you require further support then your school nurse can advise you about additional services like CAMHS, Catch22 or Place2be that also work with schools and refer you to them.  If you wish, your school nurse can work together with these other teams to provide you with effective, coordinated care.

We provide advice and support to all Wandsworth families during the age of 5 to 18 years old who attend a Wandsworth Primary or Secondary School.

If you're concerned about yourself or your baby please contact your health visiting team. We are available to help and support in many different ways and can support you to access other services in the local community.
